RESIDENTS in Roquetas de Mar gathered outside the town hall to condemn the first death through gender violence which has occurred in the province this year. A 36-year-old man allegedly killed his partner, aged 46, and her 22-year-old son, before handing himself in at the National Police Station in Cornella de Llobregat, Barcelona. He has now been sent to prison on remand.
The murder apparently took place in Roquetas last Thursday, although it was not discovered until the man confessed in Barcelona on Friday.
The two victims had been killed with a blunt object.
