The newly formed Xabia Democratica (XD) party celebrated their inauguration with a wine tasting and tapas social event last Friday. Tucked away in a cosy corner of Javea’s picturesque old town, Tapas’ bar and restaurant Lizarran played host to around 50 guests of the new XD executive.
During the evening, they were treated to a gourmet selection of individual Lizarran Tapas, served with a selection of complimentary wines, carefully selected and introduced by Su Crow of specialist wine house, La Casa del Vino.
This was the first of many similar events planned over the coming months, all designed to coordinate with the more serious programme of politically charged public meetings.
XD General Secretary Tim Ladd said he was delighted with the evening and overwhelmed by the demand for tickets which was a sell-out within 24 hours of going on sale.
The evening was conducted in Spanish and English.
