THE CSIF union has denounced the standards of the facilities and maintenance at a health centre in Spain, forced to close its doors to patients due to ‘contamination and risk to health’ concerns.
The centre has suspended its appointments, which included blood tests and flu vaccines after “faecal waters” flooded the facility.
CSIF have called for a review of the “lamentable” state of the toilets at the health centre Constitucion de Castellon.
The union claim an “important jam” in the plumbing system of the toilets had caused an “unbearable stench”.
Now, the union claim the faulty plumbing has overflowed making the centre “very uncomfortable to work in”.
CSIF have demanded an in-depth review of the facilities and maintenance plan, claiming: “The worst thing is that these are very serious deficiencies if we talk about a health clinic, because today, without going any further, they have had to suspend blood draws and flu vaccination due to contamination and health risk that would entail in these conditions.”
